The initial consultation on the project was an online survey. It must be stressed that the response rate was small, with only 12 people completing the survey. This is clearly not representative of the field, though the feedback was detailed and identified some important issues. Thank you respondents. A short analysis of the findings of the consultation is on the site, though here is a summary of the summary: The vast majority of respondents were providers, and suggested that providers welcomed the project in principle, with concerns about the validity of the dataset, TOPS in particular. The results were sufficiently encouraging to continue developing the project. Actions we take from the initial consultation are: - Look again at how to strengthen the dataset, particular in the identification of confounding factors that impact treatment outcomes.
- Improve the explanation about TOPS and request alternative suggestions.
- Discuss how private funded clients might be covered by the project.
- Consider how providers might be involved in data collection.
- Work smarter to engage care managers
The development of the software platform is progressing. The next step will be to ask care managers to evaluate the software and consult both providers and commissioners on a more formal project proposal, including complete data set. Both will take several more weeks to put in place.
