How is data made anonymous? |

The NDTMS and TOPS data is uploaded to our server exactly as it is to the NTA except the initials are replaced with a code that cannot be reverse engineered back to the initials. We are also considering converting the date of birth to just year of birth, but need to carefully consider the implications this would have for later research use of the data. Comment via the consultation.
