The rehaboutcomes.info website has not been updated for some time – this blog entry explains why!  I concluded that the project as described on this site needed a more robust funding or revenue model, so decided to pursue an initial project with far wider scope, looking a all care homes rather than drug rehabs in particular.

The result is http://www.bestcarehome.co.uk which has just been launched.

The site has some similarities to other web based care home directories, though has one important feature that sets it apart (aside from usability..).  We have downloaded and analysed many thousands of inspection reports, allowing us to 'rank' care homes on their inspection performance over the last three years.

The profiles of each house includes considerable detail, though further information from providers would make the site more complete. For examples, see the profile of the Ley Community and Littledale Hall as two examples of houses that do well under the quality index. For each house, a seperate page provides a summary care home inspection of each CQC / CSCI inspection since 2005, where these are prior to published .
